lennie chapter 5

in chapter five Lennie's behaviour changes. he goes from being the big soft man we knew to a violent aggressive man. this may be because he felt threatened by curleys wife as she threatened to tell on him. this may of brought out his bad side as we are shown in chapter five. his actions shocked me and resulted in death.  his childish behaviour shows us that he didn't know what he was doing and curleys wife be of been the one to blame. was Lennie the victim?

Name: George             Age:  around early 30’s        Appearance: dark face, sharp strong features, small, restless eyes.     Job:  works around.     Dreams: to find a solid place to live and work.   Other: loses temper easily, over tired most of the time.

Name: Lennie.    Age: around early 30’s.     Appearance: large, pale eyes, bear like hands, wide sloping shoulders, walks heavy.    Job: works around.     Dreams: to find a solid place to live and work.  Other: very forgetful, mind of a child (mentally disabled).

Name: Curley.      Age: probably late 20’s.     Appearance: little guy, head if light curly hair.    Job: light weight boxer.    Dreams: doesn’t have any, may already be living them.  Other: married, short temper, always picking fights, bosses son so untouchable, picks on bigger guys.

Name: Candy.     Age: old man.     Appearance: stooped shoulders, one hand.   Job: tidies up bunkhouse, can’t work on fields as loss of hand.    Dreams: probably too do something other than cleaning.  Other: lonely, ‘old swamper’, brush in hand ready to work.

Name: Curely's wife, name unknown.  Age: probably 20’s.       Appearance: full rouged lips, red painted nails, hair hung in little rolled clusters, shoes with red ostrich feathers, wide spaced eyes.       Dream: wouldn’t have one, already married to bosses son.    Other: inappropriately dressed for living on a ranch shows she’s not there very often, wears lots of red symbolising passion or love, gets attention of the other men.

Name: Slim.    Age: unknown.     Appearance:  long black damp hair, walks like loyalty, tall man, ‘when he is finished combing his hair’-cares about appearance.       Dream: could be to move away from the ranch.       Other:  respected- prince of the ranch, best at his job, seen as wise by others,  seen as a leader,  ‘moved with a majesty’-confident and assured.

Family: 2 girls husband
Where were you on 9/11: a survivor, working on the 70th floor, second tower
How did you react?: scared, worried for family, heart broken(many friends died).

I have choosen eastenders. I dont like eastenders becuase it is very predictable, and the story lines always drag on. Also its very hard it keep up with as theres a new character each week. Nothing happy ever happpens and it can be depressing as soemthing bad happens every day!
